VALKYRIE - A Novel of Adventure
William Powell Jr. was born in the Tar Heel State of
North Carolina, and graduated with a degree in
English from The University of Maryland. William is
an author, stage actor, comedian, and Toastmaster.
He wrote and published his first poem at seven and
spent many of his childhood years telling fantastic
stories to and talking for his three sisters and
brother. William wrote poems and plays in college,
some of which were produced, others not. After a
detour into the world of computers, William returned
with a vengeance to the fiction scene in 2002,
publishing Return to Skull Island, a fantasy novella,
and finishing Valkyrie, which began life as a short
story written Christmas Day 2000, and which won a
Writer's Digest short fiction award in 2002.
